One page about Eiyu Club film "Ausencia Memoria" from HEROINE magazine Volume 2 (2004). The film is the sequel to "Evaroid Seria". This edition focused on independent heroine tokusatsu production companies such as Eiyu Club, Center Island, and more.
English translation below the cut:
[White text on large image of Sharan and Shion on right]
The ultimate androids are here!
[Red text below large image, with smaller black text below]
Ausencia Memoria
"Ausencia Memoria" was created, set in the world of "[Evaroid] Seria". Many people have become fans of the series due to its stunning design and exquisite drama.
[Text below middle-top image of red and white Evaroid “Shion”]
Shion
[Text with red design behind it] Indie Heroine Special!
A female android with high defensive capabilities who was prototyped by Dr. Izumi during the development of Evaroids. She uses the same chassis and basic parts as Sharan, making them have a "sister"-like relationship. After completion, she was used in various tests, and eventually became the basis for the Seria series. After her use was completed, a destructive test was supposed to be conducted on her under the guise of a durability experiment, but she was eventually sold to Dr. Izumi. She was given pseudo-human memories and lived a happy life as Izumi Hinako, but after Dr. Izumi was killed by the Executive Destruction Federation, she was unable to receive regular maintenance and gradually began to question her true body. In terms of performance, she has the excess capacity unique to a prototype and is highly capable. (Appears in “Ausencia Memoria”)
[Text to the left of the purple and silver android in the bottom right]
Sharan
A high-combat-capability female-type prototype android developed by Dr. Kamikaze [TN: also called “Jinpu” in the movie] during the Evaroid development period. Sharing many components with Shion, she is considered her "sister." (However, since Sharan was completed three months earlier, she is regarded as the elder sister.) Following various performance evaluations, Shion was chosen as the production model for mass manufacturing, and Sharan was initially scheduled for dismantling. However, under the pretext of using her for additional combat function development, she was handed over to Dr. Kamikaze. Dr. Kamikaze eventually defected and became a key figure in the radical anti-robot organization the Executive Destruction Federation. Yet, for some reason, he treated Sharan as his own daughter and cherished her. After Kamikaze’s death, Sharan, despite being a robot herself, chose to carry on her "father’s" will and embarked on a path of robot destruction, plagued by the contradictions of her own existence. Ausencia Memoria (2003)
During the early days of Evaroid development, two prototype androids were manufactured using the same chassis. After their trial period ended, they were handed over to their respective developers. Hinako, later known as Shion, was implanted with artificial human memories and raised as Dr. Izumi’s daughter. Meanwhile, Sharan underwent further enhancements and modifications under Dr. Kamikaze [TN: also called “Jinpu” in the movie]. With Kamikaze’s defection and the formation of the Executive Destruction Federation, the two sister units found themselves on opposing sides, bound by a relentless fate. Shion is shocked and devastated upon learning she is an android. Sharan, an android who, despite her nature, inherited her father’s will and dedicated herself to destroying robots. As the ambitions of the Executive Destruction Federation and PSS intertwine, an even harsher fate awaits these two tormented androids.
[Top right image of Shion kneeling over Sharan]
Shion's appeal is her cuteness. She has a unique charm that male heroes never have. Her curves are also wonderfully sexy.
[Second from top image of Shion jumping]
This is the way girls often jump when they're happy. Male heroes never do it like this. Cute!
[Third from the top, group shot of Shion and Sharan in suits, the face actresses flanking the suit actresses]
The four of them lined up after transforming. From the left: Mio Misaki as Luna Kamikaze, Sharan, Shion, and Sayaka Kano as Hinako Izumi. The setting is that the girls flanking Sharan and Shion transform into them. With double the amount of usual heroines, there's plenty to see.
[Bottom right, series of four small images of Sharan doing an action sequence]
Sharan is blown away in an explosion scene! The heroine, who lives side by side with danger, straddles the line between life and death. How she’s blown away looks so cool!
[Below image of 3 people: Shion, Sayaka Kano [Shion’s face actress], and Sharan]
We had the two actresses, who were acting out their pre-transformation poses, wear the suits and take a commemorative photo. They look cool even without masks, and the bodysuits make them so sexy.

Am I the only one who is obsessed with like, miniature versions of things? Like I would just LOVE to have miniature versions of animals. Just teeny tiny little things that live in a miniature ecosystem. People want irl pokemon? Me too, but I want to have a farm of Bulbasaurs that are the size of an acorn and eat single leaves of lettuce

Worst thing about being obsessed with a dnd campaign is there’s NO content, NO fandom, all the content has to be made by ME and I’m chronically employed

My ass is in need of a desperate thing to do bc I finished big o and I feel empty despite REALLY LIKING IT it’s just because my ass hardly has any motivation to write or draw all I can do is just play video games even if I’m not even touching new ones I keep replaying the same comfort games but my main options on my to watch list are:
-reasonable length of 24 episodes but it’s apparently super fucking depressing and everyone advises I don’t watch it despite it being in my reader for awhile (casshern sins)
-even more reasonable length of 12 episodes and is more toku stuff but I’ve seen no one talk about it (guyver)
-the most reasonable length of 7 episodes- but all of them are nearly a hour so how the fuck does that keep my attention span (giant robo)
-not at all reasonable length for me because it’s 50 episodes so I should wait until I’ve watched more 20 ep anime and see I can get through a 40 ep anime but I think about it anyways (Astro boy/cyborg 009, ignore how this is two)
I should probably just make a poll about this but my tumblr polls don’t get a lot of traction and Twitter I’m scared if I end up chickening out bc I’ve done this with- a lot of polls which is also reasonable I don’t wanna make one 💀 might just ask friend opinion but if anyone knows any of these feel free to drop something in the comments.

Okay but imagine
All of the Watchtower ‘civilian hires’ are retired/former heroes or their support system, or otherwise just…. Are not fucking normal.
Danny Fenton is a tech, as is Tucker Foley, although wildly different departments. Sam Manson is usually in charge of the onboard garden (I’m 90% sure they have one), possibly a backup field medic. The Possible twins Jim and Tim are engineers, and Kim is probably still a freelancer that everyone low key forgets is like, Batman lite. They tried to get Wade Load but since Kim is still active, he stays with her, possibly same with Ron Stoppable. Juniper Lee and Danny bond over former astronaut dreams and weird mystic Bullshit, which Arthur “Spud” Spudinski, one of the nurses, is also oddly insightful on. Marinette Dupain-Cheng works textiles and costumes, occasionally roping in one of the cooks, a certain blond named Adrien (no last name given THANKS), to help her with his “natural inclination towards destroying things”. Randy Cunningham is their archivist who has the odd extremely good reflex, who works with Coraline Jones, who has a childhood friend named Wyborn Lovat over in Engineering and Maintenance. Sheldon Cooper specializes in Robotics, although he only works… semi-part time, and is technically the League contact for one Jenny Wakeman. Mabel Pines is maybe certifiably a little nuts but she also can calibrate grapple weapons better than anyone, if only she’d stop getting her brother Dipper from Archives when she does safety tests.
Of course, they all might have some feelings about the protégés, but they also kind of understand that in most—if not all—of these cases, the kids would be out there ANYWAYS so at least this way they have someone to teach them the ropes.
Just… the majority of every hire on the Watchtower being both sympathetic but also completely OVER all of the superheroes bitching. A lot of them were child heroes WITHOUT decent mentors so they’re just like ‘but did you also have to write a five page paper on the American Civil War, read two chapters of the most boring book possible, draw the entire periodic table in color code, and have a trigonometry test the next day? No? Well then’. Like, they get it, this used to be their gig, and they’re kinda lucky in that for most of them, their threats have mostly ended in some way so that they CAN retire, but also. Also. Being a teenager sucks enough AS IS doing the hero thing sucks enough AS IS imagine doing BOTH. AT ONCE.
Then there’s the ones who are still fairly civilian save for That One Time or only dealt with local stuff, so they’re mostly normie and have mostly normie reactions outside of a very tolerant ‘go with the flow’ baseline, but occasionally are like “oh I know just the thing” and seem to pull some deus ex machina bullshit out of nowhere.
And all of them collectively decided that hey, saving the world or their town or solving some local mysteries involving the undead should absolutely count towards their resumes that they sent to literal superheroes who deal with this on the DAILY, so it’s in their files too. It is, again, not their fault no one did the assigned reading.
Batman has concerns about all the children fighting dragons, both metaphorical and LITERAL, but, well. Not much he can do about their PASTS, just be understanding of their futures. And no this is NOT because he has a whole adoption thing, he is NOT brooding, shut up Clark.
Short DPXDC Prompts #648
The League gets incredibly concerned that their main tech mechanic, Danny Fenton, has instances of his heart or breathing randomly stopping. His skin is cold as ice and his skin is deathly pale.
Danny didn’t realize that the League doesn’t look at hiring applications. If they did they would have seen that he put being a half ghost on his resume.

I think we as a society need to be reminded how good the original Powerpuff Girls was. Here's some of my favorite things about it:
the fight scenes had a level of punchiness and impact that was rare for cartoons of the nineties, and fight scenes that were way better than what one would expect from a comedy
The character writing is so good that a large portion of the show's most iconic episodes consist of just showing how the girls' personalities react to different scenarios, for example in one episode the girls take turns recapping a fight that had just happened, and the tone and art style of the flashback changes depending on whose telling the story
One of the recurring extras is a talking dog that goes about it's day like a normal human
Each girl has mostly the same powers with one special ability that sets them apart. Blossom has ice breath. Bubbles can speak to squirrels and is also fluent in Spanish. Buttercup can curl her tongue.
while the majority of the show is lighthearted comedy sometimes it'll just decide to be nightmareworld for an episode and i think thats pretty cool
The show utilizes a blend of classic upa linework and sixties art deco shapism to create a visual style that is utterly timeless. If the majority of the show wasn't cell animated you would not be able to guess when it came out
The main villain's speaking patterns were directly inspired by The Super Dictionary. AKA, the same book that brought us this:
Tumblr media
You can tell.
In the season one finale, the girls fight a giant monster using a mech suit. During the fight, there is a sequence that is literally just 20 uninterrupted seconds of an absurd amount of missiles coming out of every possible orifice of the robot. And then they miss.
There was an anime adaptation made in the 2000's and its actually pretty good, like it does take a lot of creative liberties but its clear that the people making it understood the spirit of the original show and were just adapting it to reflect japanese pop culture in the same way the og show reflected american pop culture.
The show had an insanely kickass soundtrack consisting of early techno so clean it's kind of shocking that it was made in the late nineties and not the early 2010's pre-dubstep era
satan is there and he serves cunt

My favorite Giuseppe Festino covers from near the end of his run with the Italian sci-fi magazine Robot. These are from late 1978 and 1979. Bold colors, bold compositions.
I featured Festino's work in my free sci-fi art newsletter a few issues back, so check it out for more info. The final one here, with the decaying robot, was for the last issue of the magazine, before it was rebooted in the 2000s.
